Systems & Operations Coordinator
Status: Full-Time Employment
Summary:
Texas Values’ Systems & Operations Coordinator is a position that helps organize and coordinate the organization’s systems and operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reports to President
- Coordinates the organization’s day-to-day operations, including but not limited to financial & IT
- Works with Bookkeeper to ensure entry and accuracy in CRM and accounting database software
- Assist in developing processes that ensure appropriate tracking, monitoring, and reporting that provide financial snapshots, mission objectives, and donor relations
- Coordinates human resources, including hiring, onboarding, and compliance
- Coordinates direct mail and special projects initiated by the development and marketing teams
- Help plan and coordinate all significant events, including annual policy forums and fundraising events
- A strong advocate for pro-family values in all interactions on behalf of the organization
- Documents policies, procedures, and SOPs
- Actively seeks ways to improve the current systems to serve each department and the organization’s mission
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Mature Christian believer who demonstrates godly principles in all aspects of life
- Views role with a ministry passion and can articulate the mission and vision of the organization
- A firm understanding of the core issues of religious freedoms, marriage & family, and life
- Ability to think quickly and strategically in a fast-paced environment
- Must have project management experience with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- A high-achieving work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a keen self-awareness
- Highly developed listening and questioning skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of operations or project management experience preferred

Communications Associate
Summary:
Communications Associate is responsible for the creation, execution, and growth of Texas Values’ presence in traditional media with a main focus on social/new media.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reports to the Director of Operations & Communications Coordinator
- Strategizes communications work with the Texas Values team
- Develops, manages, and expands traditional media and social/new media relationships and presence for Texas Values
- Assists Communications Coordinator with writing press releases and organizing press conferences
- Creates a weekly strategy and content for social media posts across a variety of platforms
- Creates weekly emails and specialized emails as needed using the Texas Values CRM
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Mature Christian believer, who demonstrates Godly principles in all aspects of life
- Passionate about and able to articulate the mission and vision of Texas Values
- A firm understanding of the defense of religious freedoms, Biblical marriage and family, and protection of innocent human life
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a keen self-awareness
- Sets goals and initiates implementation and follow-through
- Ability to engage and serve a variety of people and personalities
- Able to handle security-sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Capable of managing and implementing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in public relations, communications, interacting with the press, social media strategy, and execution
- Experience with photo, graphics, and film production is preferred

Internship Opportunities
Texas Values is seeking motivated university, graduate, and law school students to intern in our Austin office (or remotely with special approval) who have a passion to promote biblical values and have the desire to learn more about law, public policy, and the political process in Texas. Learn more about what happens during a Texas Values internship.
Responsibilities of Interns:
- Support senior staff in the day-to-day operations of the Austin office
- Complete various research and special projects
- Manage various data entry projects
- Assist with web and social media outlets
- Deliver information to offices at the Texas Capitol
Qualifications:
- Committed to the Texas Values mission and vision
- Available to work 10 – 20 hours/week around class schedule at our Austin office (or remotely by approval)
- Self-motivated and highly organized individual
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Maintain a professional appearance
