Another Victory in the Fight to Defeat Radical Sex-Ed in TX
Last night, there was another victory in the fight to defeat radical sex education in Texas. North East ISD (San Antonio) canceled sex ed for public school students for the entire school year! This victory is a result of Texas Values’ work at the State Board of Education (SBOE) to get abstinence-based state standards for all Texas students.

“North East ISD schools will not offer sex education courses during the 2022-2023 school year.
The district’s board Tuesday voted to indefinitely pause Human Sexuality and Abstinence Education (HSAE), fearing “well-meaning” instructors might accidentally teach new modules that still require special approval.
Texas implemented new sex education curriculum standards this year for the first time since the 1990s. Courses will expand to include details on contraceptives and sexually transmitted infections, though the curriculum still centers on abstinence.”
