TX Church Ambassador 2025 Capitol Session Recap!!

After 140 days of arduous work, the 2025 Texas (89th) Legislative Session is over.
There are 31 Senators and 150 State Representatives, and our team was able to visit every single office, three (3) times each, during this session. Church Ambassador Network of Texas (TXCAN) has been working in Texas since 2020 when Texas Values launched this ministry, and we are happy to report that we were remarkably successful this year with our task, “Planting the Seed, God’s Word,”to every member of the Legislation.
We delivered 181 Bibles, with Brown and Mahogany Leatherlike NLT, Large Print, life Application Study Personalized Bibles, 3rd Edition to every legislative member, plus the Executive members; Governor Greg Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and others. We “Planted The Seed, God’s Word.”
The Minister of the Capitol, Scot Wall stated, “Thank you so much for thinking of me, I am so touched you thought of me” after we gave him one of these beautiful and special Bibles. Though I tried explaining the Bibles were donated by a very generous and faithful friend, he still embraced the Bible saying, “I am so grateful for thinking of me.”
Governor Greg Abbott opened the Bible immediately, turning swiftly through the Large Print pages, as though scanning page after page and then embracing it, stating, “We all need the Bible in our lives, right? Thank you, Pastor.”
Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, held it and immediately turned the Bible over pointing to the engraved scripture of Jeremiah 29:11-12 on the front cover, and said to me, “This is Amazing, you see this scripture on the cover? That’s the scripture I use every single time I speak.”
Legislative Staff members would share with us as we visited Senators and Representatives saying for example; “They loved the Bible you brought them”; “The other day I caught the Senator/Representative reading and enjoying the Bible”; One Senator staff member stated, “You know I’ve worked with the Senator for years and I see her receive stuff that people would bring her, but this Bible she loved so much that she literally embraced it close to her heart and said, ‘This stays with me, this one goes home with me'”. And so many other gratifying statements from staff members.
In the 2021 and 2023 Texas Legislative sessions, TXCAN had a total of five (5) people on our Team, including myself, to carry out the task going to and praying with all 181 members of Texas Senate and House and in those previous session we were able to reach about 40% of legislative members.
This year in the 2025 Legislative Session, I mainly stood alone (with some wonderful pastors and volunteers from time to time), the rest of the Team from 2021 and 2023 had stopped working for Texas Values’ Church Ambassador Network of Texas, and had gone on to other endeavors.

At the beginning of this session I prayed, “Lord, I know I am not alone, you are with me. I am honored to continue to do this work of Planting The Seed. Please Lord, make a way. I will do as much as I can, though limited, to share Your Word because I am only one, but I ask that you use me, and I trust that You will do the rest. In Jesus’ Name, I humbly pray. Amen.” That was my simple prayer and though there were only a handful of pastors that joined TXCAN throughout the session to “Plant The Seed, God’s Word” at the Capitol, I am grateful to report that this has been the most successful session out of the three session of TXCAN at the Texas Capitol. You see God preserves a remnant to fulfill His purpose on Earth and to restore His people to Himself and godly ways. Not only did we reach all 181 offices of legislative members but were able to visit them a total of three (3) times each!
The first time, we delivered the Bible hauling them on a 2’ x 4’ green metal mesh wagon, in a three-day span, 188 bibles, 752 lbs. at 4 lbs. each, of pure Scripture, delivered to every legislative member office in the Texas Capitol.
The second time around, we delivered a half page leaflet message titled, “God is Calling the Right and the Left to UNITE”, with the Gideon Bible story on Judges chapters 6 & 7, when the right and the left joined their efforts emphasizing in Judges 7:20, that the people that had been suffering (Judges 6:6) and were released with a miraculous victory and much blessings. Proverbs 29:2
The third and final time around, we delivered another half page leaflet message entitled, “You are Called to be Shepherds of Government”, Romans 13. This passage highlighted that the members, as government officials, are called to be ministers of God, reminding members that both ministers of Government and ministers of the Church are called not to do the right thing, but to do the righteous thing according to God’s Word, looking out for the best interest of their constituents. Reminding members that by doing so, they could never go wrong.
So, you see, when you leave God to do His will in your life, not only will HE do His Will, but he will do Wonders, advance His Kingdom, and Receive all Honor and Glory through a willing, weak link. We see and can identify who’s behind this success, because with less, He did more. Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” To God be the Glory!

Blessings, Church Ambassador Network of Texas (TXCAN)
