The United States Supreme Court Agreed to Hear a Texas Case Regarding the Deadly Chemical Abortion Pill

This week, we have more good news when it comes to protecting the life of the preborn child! On Wednesday, the United States Supreme Court agreed to hear a case regarding the deadly chemical abortion pill. The case began right here in our great state of Texas where a federal judge blocked the Federal Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of the chemical abortion drug called mifepristone. Since 2016, efforts have been made to make the chemical abortion drugs more accessible to women which has not only ended the lives of countless babies but has harmed and even killed women as well.

Now, the U.S. Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade will revisit the life issue for babies and their mothers with debate over the safety concerns of the use of chemical abortion drugs. Texas Values will be filing a legal brief in support of the pro-life doctors and advocates in this case. We will be active in following this case and giving our support to attorneys and doctors who will be representing life next summer at the Supreme Court. Texas Values advocated and testified for the passage of SB 4, the ban on mail orders of chemical abortion drugs to women. Governor Greg Abbott signed the Texas bill stopping women from getting abortion drugs through the mail at our 2021 Faith and Family Forum.
