Texas Values Staff To March For Life This Weekend from the Potomac to the Rio Grande

March for life 2018 (620-240)

Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz will be a featured speaker while marching to respect the life of the unborn this weekend in the Rio Grande Valley while Texas Values Policy Analyst Nicole Hudgens will join an estimated crowd of a hundred thousand for the annual March for Life in Washington D.C.

Hudgens will march in the 45th Annual March for Life on Friday, Jan. 19. More than 100,000 Americans are expected to travel from across the country to our nation’s capital for this year’s March for Life, a demonstration that stands against the greatest human rights violation of our time – abortion-on-demand. The theme of this year’s March for Life is “Love Saves Lives”, embodying the true spirit and mission of the pro-life movement by enlisting the power of love to empower others to choose life. President Donald Trump is expected to address the crowd via a video link, and speakers include House Speaker Paul Ryan, Pam Tebow, and other luminaries of the movement.

“Every step we take today is one step closer to the day when women are no longer betrayed by the lies of abortion and children are protected, both inside and outside of the womb,” Hudgens said. “Roe v. Wade started in Texas, and it is my privilege as a Texan to march with thousands of Americans from all 50 states to finally end abortion.”

Saenz is scheduled to speak at the Annual Pro-Life March & Rally on Saturday, Jan. 20. The event is set to begin at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 900 S. 23rd St., McAllen. After a prayer service, the crowd will march into downtown where they will pass by the local abortion clinic and gather at Sacred Heart Parish, 306 S. 15th St., with closing prayers appealing for the end of abortion in our lifetime.

“This annual march shows the resolve of South Texans and people of faith to end abortion,” Saenz said. “Seeing the men, women, and children of every age and background gathered in marches and rallies like these, being held around the country, gives us hope that we are developing a culture that respects life beginning at conception and ending at natural death.”
