Special Video Message: Happy Easter from Texas Values!
We invite you to watch a special Easter video message from our President Jonathan Saenz and our Church Ambassador Network Director Bryan English. Learn more about our Church Ambassador Network here.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the defining moment of human history. It’s the reason we have hope when the world seems hopeless. From the point where sin entered the world, humanity was separated from God, “but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
When Jesus walked out of the tomb, He conquered sin and the grave. The Bible says that, “the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.” (Romans 6:10) When we understand that he died “once for all” it changes how we approach everything.
Texas Values is an expressly Christian organization. We have staff that stands for faith, family and, freedom at the Texas Capitol, and we work to help Texans engage through civic activism, but what makes us unique is that we endeavor to be salt and light in the process. As Christians, we aren’t called to be successful by the world’s standards – we are called to be faithful to our risen Savior.
That is why we added the Church Ambassador Network as a new initiative of Texas Values to build a relationship between the shepherds of God’s Church and God’s government as portrayed in the Scriptures. That is why we bring pastors to the Texas Capitol – to come alongside elected officials, to be an encouragement, to build relationships, to offer counsel, and to share the love of Jesus. We invite you to connect your pastor with our growing Church Ambassador Network.
We can’t wait to celebrate Easter with our church families, gathered as the church, this weekend. We pray this Easter weekend will be filled with His hope, joy, and love for you and your family.
