Breaking!! Drag Queen Court Ruling; Judge Allows Sexual Performances In Front of Kids

Houston, TX – September 26, 2023: Today, a Federal Judge out of Houston ruled that the state’s law protecting kids from sexualized performances, SB 12, is an “unconstitutional restriction on speech” and “violates the First Amendment as incorporated to Texas by the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.” The judge issued a permanent injunction blocking SB 12 from going into effect and becoming law.

Jonathan Covey, Director of Policy for Texas Values stated:

“This fight is far from over as this ruling will certainly be appealed. SB 12 would clearly protect kids from hyper-sexualized performances in the state of Texas. Obscenity in front of kids is never appropriate.”

Texas Values filed a legal amicus brief in support of SB 12 in this case.
