Why You Should Avoid Target This Back-to-School Shopping Season
As back-to-school shopping season is underway, we continue to urge our supporters to avoid shopping at Target stores and continue warning friends and family about the danger of Target’s policy to invite men into women’s bathrooms and dressing rooms.
American Family Association (AFA) notes that the policy means “a man can simply say he “feels like a woman today” and enter the women’s restroom…even if young girls or women are already in there. Target’s policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims. And with Target publicly boasting that men can enter women’s bathrooms, where do you think predators are going to go? Target’s lack of action on this issue has proven that their main concern is not the safety of their customers. Target management is more concerned with political correctness than protecting women and children.”
Earlier this year when Target announced its outrageous policy, Texas Values joined with AFA in calling for a boycott of Target after Target did not reverse its dangerous policy despite outage from across the country. Just last month, it was reported a man who “identifies” as a woman was arrested for voyeurism at a Target store in Idaho.
Our goal with this boycott is for Target to change its dangerous new policy, to raise awareness of the real threats to safety that these policies bring and to help businesses and lawmakers understand the significant opposition to such measures that is growing daily.
