Video: Highlights of 2016 Faith, Family, & Freedom Gala

Earlier this month, over 400 guests attended our 2nd annual Texas Faith, Family, & Freedom Gala in Dallas. Highlights of the evening included our 2016 Faithful Leader Award honoring Lt. Governor Dan Patrick for his tremendous leadership this year in defending religious freedom, marriage, and life throughout Texas, and Attorney General Paxton giving remarks on standing for privacy and safety for Texas children and presenting the 2016 Kelly Shackelford Award to Stand for Fort Worth for their remarkable work to reverse the Fort Worth Independent School District’s dangerous bathroom policies. In addition, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz gave an address on the state of the nation and the importance of fighting for our values even more fervently after the election, and Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz then followed with a report on the recent attacks on faith, family, and freedom, as well as the victories Texas Values and Texas Values Action achieved over the past year.

The Keynote Address was given by special guest Kevin Sorbo, the veteran Christian actor and star of “Hercules: the Legendary Journeys” and “God’s Not Dead.”  Sorbo shared his testimony on suffering an aneurism which drove him to find his faith again. Sorbo also gave an inspirational message about the importance of living out our faith and standing for truth in a dark world.

We are so thankful to everyone that was a part of making the 2016 Texas Faith, Family, & Freedom Gala an event to remember. We certainly look forward to strengthening our efforts to ensure faith, family, and freedom are protected throughout Texas!
