VICTORY: Texas Supreme Court Allows SB 14 Law Protecting Children from Harmful Gender Transitions To Go Into Effect

Austin, TX – Today the Texas Supreme Court denied LGBT plaintiffs’ emergency motion for temporary relief on SB 14, the law protecting children from harmful gender transition procedures and treatments.  SB 14 will now go into effect tomorrow, September 1st.

Jonathan Covey, Director of Policy for Texas Values stated:

“Texas kids are safer today because of the Supreme Court ruling on SB 14. Protecting children from harmful and dangerous gender transition surgeries and puberty blockers is in the best interests of the child and something we all agree on.”
