Victory! Lake Travis ISD Will Post 10 Commandments Soon…(in a few weeks)

A supporter and parent in Lake Travis ISD just informed us that Lake Travis ISD will comply with the Texas Ten Commandments law and begin posting them in a few weeks!

You may recall that last week, the Texas Values team held a press conference outside the Lake Travis ISD administration building, asking the school district to comply with the law. Following the press conference, we delivered over 600 posters to Lake Travis ISD officials.

However, we learned from a trusted source that the school district was in no rush to post the 10 Commandments posters. Top officials in the school district even told our source that they were going to wait until the beginning of the NEXT school year.

But that is NOT what the law says. In communicating through our supporter and parent, the school district has now decided to begin posting the 10 Commandments “early this summer”, “in the next few weeks”.

Texas Values will make sure that Lake Travis has all of the tools and posters they need to complete the task.
