U.S. Senator Ted Cruz: Boy Scouts Should Keep Current Policy
Grapevine, TX, May 22, 2013 – Today, U. S. Senator Ted Cruz released the following statement regarding the proposed change in membership policy by the Boy Scouts of America:
“I respect the Boy Scouts’ right to make their own decisions as a private organization, but I personally hope they will continue their current policy as I believe it’s in the best interest for members, their families, and the Boy Scout tradition.”
– Senator Ted Cruz
“The future of the Boy Scouts of America is one of the most important issues currently facing our state and our nation. The support of Senator Ted Cruz is incredibly important and shows that the new leaders in America still know the value of moral principles and they are not afraid to stand for what’s right,” said Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values.
The result of the final vote on the membership policy by the BSA is expected to be announced tomorrow.
