The Texas Ten Commandments Law is Under Attack by the ACLU!
Not To Worry, Here’s How Your Support Protects This New Law…
April 2026
Dear Faithful Texas Supporter,
You show people from all over the world a set of two ancient tablets together and they know instantly—“that’s the Ten Commandments.” Since Moses descended from Mount Sinai… Since King Alfred the Great (849–901) first integrated it as a formal basis of English law, and since the Founding Fathers of America gathered 250 years ago and relied on the Ten Commandments when creating our great nation, the Ten Commandments have been so important to human history. And there is no doubt—the Ten Commandments are one of the most important and recognizable documents and symbols for Western Civilization, our American heritage and our systems of law and government.

America Was Founded on Judeo-Christian Values & Beliefs
You ask people from all over Texas, America and even across the world, and many of them have already heard of the Texas Ten Commandments law passed in 2025. That’s because it’s the strongest and most impactful law of its kind in our country! But the law is very simple—it requires that every public school classroom in Texas (that’s over 300,000 classrooms!) has a poster of the Ten Commandments hanging in the classroom where it can be seen. Students don’t have to read the poster, they don’t have to believe what the Ten Commandments say, they don’t even have to acknowledge that they’ve seen it! But this poster of the Ten Commandments has to be shown—for all Texas students and staff to see a symbol of one of the most important documents and list of moral principles for America’s foundation and current society. If we forget what inspired us to become America, we will soon see our country being flooded with symbols of other “texts” and “rules” (perhaps Sharia law?) used to claim they have some relevance in America and Texas.
From the founding of our country, the Ten Commandments were commonly posted in classrooms— until the 1980 U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Stone v. Graham. That court decision, striking down a Kentucky statute that required posting of the Ten Commandments in every public school classroom, ended the practice of requiring such displays in public schools. But the 2022 Supreme Court decision of Kennedy v. Bremerton made it clear that historical symbols like the Ten Commandments can come back into the classroom.
In last year’s 2025 Texas Legislative session, our Texas Values team worked with our Christian conservative legislators to pass the Texas Ten Commandments Law to restore the Ten Commandments to its rightful place in public classrooms. Sadly, New York lawyers from the ACLU sued to stop this new law, but the preliminary court ruling only impacted 25 of the 1200 school districts in Texas. All of the other 1175 school districts in Texas are required to follow the law while these lawsuits continue. We were in court at the trial level and appeals level supporting the Texas Ten Commandments law and we filed an amicus (friend of the court brief) on behalf of the authors of the law, Senator Phil King and Representative Candy Noble.

Our work defending the Ten Commandments law also includes donating the posters to schools, and helping local school districts like Conroe I.S.D. and others, navigate these issues. We have also led a public awareness and support campaign to show that Texans strongly support this law. With your support, we held a major press conference at the Federal Appeals Court earlier this year in January with our friend Tony Perkins of Family Research Council (FRC) and we have received worldwide news coverage of our work!
We Must Fight to Protect the Ten Commandments Law & Texas History
We are also preparing for what comes next. When the Fifth Circuit issues its court ruling, Texas Values stands ready to help facilitate immediate compliance by assisting with the placement of Ten Commandments displays in schools across the state. This issue continues to gain momentum at the Texas Capitol as well.

Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has issued an special committee and hearing related to SB 10, ensuring ongoing legislative focus, and the Texas Senate has established a new Select Committee on Religious Liberty to further advance and protect these foundational rights.
The Alamo Is An Islamic Building??
What? Yes, Muslim advocates were recently at the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) trying to convince elected officials that we should start teaching Texas students that the Alamo is an Islamic building!! But that’s why we are at every meeting since 2012, to make sure this crazy stuff doesn’t happen. With your help, we successfully defeated this attack on The Alamo, and we also made sure that in teaching standard for the classroom that Moses and the historical impact of the Ten Commandments on America is still taught to Texas students!!
Ten Commandments = Strong Way to Stop Sharia Law
We need to raise $250,000 by April 30th! Your most generous support enables us to stand our ground in defending the Texas Ten Commandments law that we worked so hard to pass during the 89th Legislature, and to stop the ongoing efforts to push Sharia law on Texans. With your help, we can stop this, and go on offense for common sense, truth, and for biblical, Texas values!!

P.S. Just a reminder… Texas Values is 100% donor funded. Your contributions go directly to supporting the boots on the ground needed to win these must-win battles.
