Texas Is No. 1 State For Business, CNBC Reports

In case you missed it, once again Texas is named the No. 1 state for business. http://www.cnbc.com/id/37642856

“With the biggest point total in the history of our study, Texas posts a big victory as America’s Top State for Business 2010.”

Remember those desperate claims by the liberal left that our fine science and social studies standards would have a negative effect on business of our state and that people and businesses wouldn’t want to be in Texas.

That feeble, unsupportable claim by Austin liberals is laughable.  According to CNBC, “[t]he Lone Star State is home to 64 Fortune 500 companies, more than any other state, in a wide variety of industries.”

And yes, Education was used as a factor/point category in determining the rankings.

“Hawaii ties with California as the most expensive state in which to live, and is second only to New York in the cost of doing business.”

Hmm, all the misguided criticism from California and New York about our exceptional social studies curriculum standards wouldn’t have anything to do with these states having envy of Texas’ business climate, now would it?
