Stop Tax-Payer Funded Abortions in Texas! Take Action Today!

Travis County (Greater Austin area) property tax dollars, $450,000, are currently used to pay for elective abortions on healthy women and healthy babies. Planned Parenthood receives a portion of these funds.  Central Health (formerly Travis County Healthcare District) will hold a public hearing today to take testimony about its proposed budget to continue paying for abortions with county tax dollars. We will present testimony against this effort.  State law bans the use of state tax dollars to pay for abortions, but not county tax dollars, specifically.  A final vote will come later this month.
