Stalling Communion at Church While Greenlighting Casual Sex is Wrong, Dr. Fauci
Why is it bureaucrats in Washington D.C. are okay with suppressing the Constitutionally protected rights of Religious Freedom and Assembly to “keep us safe” but then approve random hook ups with strangers?
Dr. Anthony Fauci is the Director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which is one of the 27 institutes and centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH), an agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). When he was recently asked if Communion could be distributed safely at churches across America Dr. Fauci replied “No”. He went on to say Communion is the “kind of close interaction that you don’t want when you’re in the middle of a deadly outbreak.”
Perhaps this type of statement would make more sense, if a few weeks ago, Dr. Fauci hadn’t claimed that casual hooks ups or one night stands with strangers found on popular “dating” apps like Tinder, Bumble and Grindr were “your choice regarding a risk.” Does Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously expect us to believe that casual sex with a stranger is “your choice” but accepting Communion in Church is a risk we are not allowed to take?
To be clear, there are currently no government restrictions on churches serving communion, and further, churches in Texas have been declared essential, are free to meet without capacity limits and are strongly encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines. President Trump also recently declared churches essential and released further guidelines to help churches slow the spread of COVID19. None of these guidelines mention restrictions on serving communion.
Stalling communion at church while greenlighting casual sex is wrong Dr. Fauci.
