Science & Censorship Issue Boiling Over

After the outrageous vote by the Texas SBOE recently to stop critical thinking in science class and eliminate the 20-year policy of teaching the strengths and weaknesses of all scientific theories, including evolution, we have been flooded by calls and emails from reporters, citizens, scientists and science teachers throughout the state.  Seems they were not asked how they felt about this issue, and they are very upset by the SBOE’s decision. 

At least two articles will be running in Texas-based newspapers later this week on this issue.  One is an Op-ed we authored.  We’ll post them when they become available.

In the meantime, keep sending emails and making calls to your SBOE member on this issue.  Remember, their last vote on this is in March.  After that you’ll have to wait 10 years before the SBOE takes up this issue again. Contact them at:
