Say “Thank You” for Women’s Privacy & Pro-Life Bills Moving!!

You may be aware that the Texas Women’s Privacy Act (SB 8) had a great hearing last week in the Texas House State Affairs Committee! This is a great step forward for protecting women’s private spaces in places like showers, locker rooms and bathrooms (No Men In Women’s Private Spaces!). Everything we are hearing suggests SB 8 will receive a favorable vote soon out of the House State Affairs Committee and the full Texas House will vote on this very important bill!!

We are grateful for Speaker Dustin Burrows making the protection of women’s private spaces a priority for the Texas House and for the Chairman Ken King for having the hearing. We need your help in thanking legislators for the great hearing last week, and letting them know that this bill is important to you!

In addition to the Texas Women’s Privacy Act, an important pro-life bill, HB 7, was heard during the same public hearing last week. HB 7 upholds the sanctity of life and protects women from harmful chemical abortion drugs. It was heard in House State Affairs Committee as well.

Please reach out to your Texas House member, as well as the members of the House State Affairs Committee and thank them for the having a committee hearing on these bills and thank them for helping move these bills out of committee and to the next step for a full Texas House vote! Again – these bills are:

(1) SB 8 – Texas Women’s Privacy Act (already passed the Texas Senate), and

(2) HB 7 – Pro-Life Act that protects women from harmful chemical abortion drugs that are flooding into our state in the mail!
