Come to Austin for the Ultrasound Bill Hearing on Tuesday-Cloning & Choose Life Plate Also

Come to Austin for Ultrasound Bill Hearing-Tuesday! (Cloning, Choose Life Plate Also)

Next Tuesday, you can show your support for pro-life issues and encourage officials to vote for important life-saving legislation by coming to a hearing for the ultrasound bill!  On Tuesday, the House of Representatives State Affairs Committee will hear the Ultrasound bill, HB 36, around 2 p.m., and you can come to the hearing or testify (especially if you have a personal connection to this issue) alongside Free Market Foundation!  Even if you don’t want to testify, you can show up to sign a card that supports the ultrasound bill.  This is a public hearing.  There is also a hearing on human cloning and the Choose Life license plate (SB 1098).

In case you haven’t heard, the ultrasound bill requires that an ultrasound be performed on a woman considering abortion and that the woman is offered an opportunity to view the ultrasound image and hear her baby’s heartbeat.  The pregnant woman is not required to view the ultrasound image or hear the heartbeat.  In other states where this has been passed, it has resulted in saving thousands and thousands of lives.  While the ultrasound bill hasn’t been passed through the Senate yet (Senate version is SB 182), we are hopeful that the House can pass it quickly!

Call our Austin office at  (512) 478-2220  or email us at legisative@freemarket.org if you would like to attend and we can help prepare you to testify or direct you where to go to show your support in person.

If you can’t attend, you can still make your voice heard!  Call the State Affairs Committee now!  Click here for phone numbers and member information. CALL NOW!
