Call to Action! Tell Cy- Fair ISD That You Support Volunteer Chaplains in Schools!

On Monday, March 4, at 6p.m. the Cy Fair ISD Board of Trustees will be taking a final vote on a policy to allow for volunteer chaplains to be on school campuses. This policy is a product of a bill passed last year that allows a school to allow chaplains to be present on campus and serve students who would like to speak to a spiritual advisor. If you live in Cy Fair or surrounding areas, we need you to show up and testify at the meeting and send a message to the board declaring your support!

Cy Fair ISD has already passed a preliminary version of the policy, but the final vote will be on Monday. The board is expected to pass a policy that has strong First Amendment and parental rights protections. The policy also emphasizes that the chaplain program is voluntary and that the chaplain is a verified chaplain meeting certain criteria. But as you have seen in the news, leftist groups like the ACLU are trying to stop the chaplain policy from being adopted and they have at times been successful!

In order to register to testify, you must sign up through the link on the agenda for March 4, 2024 by 12p.m. noon on the day of the meeting. Here is where you will find the March 4, meeting agenda once it is posted by the school districted: https://meetings.boardbook.org/Public/Organization/668

That’s why we need YOU to show up and testify in favor of the policy!
