Trump Administration Protects Religious Freedom, Rolls back HHS Mandate

Late last week, the Trump administration took two important actions to help safeguard religious freedom and undue policies of the Obama administration that were hostile to people of faith.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is now directing federal agencies to respect religious freedom while the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is exempting religious entities from the unconstitutional Obama contraceptive mandate that had forced organizations like Little Sisters of the Poor to sue the federal government.
