Texas is Pro-Life: Record Crowd Stands for Life at Capitol

Building on the record turnout of pro-life rallies around the country marking the 40th anniversary of the disastrous Roe V. Wade decision, including an estimated 650,000 in Washington D.C. and 10,000 in Dallas, the Texas Rally for Life saw record turnout this past Saturday at the Texas Capitol.

While Texas has made strong pro-life gains in recent years, including passage of the Sonogram Bill and major defunding of Planned Parenthood, important work to protect the unborn still remains. State leaders, including Senator Dan Patrick, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, Attorney General Greg Abbott and Gov. Rick Perry, pledged to continue the important fight to stand for life and ensure Texas is a state that values life.

It was great to see so many people, from all walks of life, and state leaders in unison for the fundamental principal of valuing human life and as Gov. Perry stated, “some day we will make abortion a thing of the past.”
