Breaking! Texas Values Sends Letter to Federal Government on Behalf of Texas Swimmer Who Competed Against Men in U.S. Masters Competition in San Antonio, Texas

Yesterday, Texas Values sent a letter to the Office of Civil Right of the Department of Education on behalf of a Texas woman who was forced to compete against the infamous male swimmer “Ana” Caldes at the U.S. Masters competition held in San Antonio, Texas earlier this year. The masculine 47-year-old male swimmer “Ana” Caldes has caused a lot of stir on social media after it was revealed that he competed in the women’s division in the U.S. Masters competition and was recently suspended from competing for 5 years by World Aquatics.
However, San Antonio resident Rita has been fighting for her right to fair competition and privacy ever since the competition took place earlier this year. Rita reached out to Texas Values and shared even more unfair and disturbing details! Unfortunately, “Ana” Caldes was not the only man who competed against women that day, there was another man named Jennifer Rines who competed as well. Both men were also allowed to use the women’s locker rooms at the swimming competition which took place at a public-school natatorium in Northside ISD in San Antonio, Texas!
When Rita spoke out against U.S. Masters competition and Northside ISD for allowing the two men to compete against her and use the women’s locker rooms, she was met with silence and stonewalling. She and other swimmers were told by U.S. Masters representatives that there was a “Swimsuits Not Lawsuits” campaign and if they do not like what is going on, then to just leave the program. U.S. Masters still has a policy that would allow for someone like “Ana” Caldes to compete. Northside ISD even suddenly canceled the U.S. Masters program without reason!
