ACLU Wants to Silence Your Voice, Wants its Version of Religious “Freedom” in Social Studies

First they wanted to remove Christmas – rejected. Then they wanted to kick out Neil Armstrong, Albert Einstein, and some references to Veterans’ Day and Independence Day – rejected.

Now they’re trying to take away your voice completely.  Why? Because a majority of the State Board of Education (SBOE) approved balanced, common sense social studies standards! But Austin liberal groups (not SBOE members) and liberal academia think that Texans don’t know what’s best for their kids, and groups like the ACLU are launching all-out national attacks to silence you!

They say they only want “credentialed” people to decide, which means parents and common sense teachers are not welcome. One State Senator has even threatened to abolish our elected State Board of Education all together! Can you imagine if you couldn’t hold your elected officials accountable on curriculum and educational standards in your child’s classroom?

Liberty Institute, with your help, has been fighting this battle for more than a year, and we’ll continue to fight until Texas children learn the facts about history and all of social studies.
