Abortion Survivors, Texans Rally for Life at Capitol

Austin, TX – January 27, 2024: Today, Texans from all over the state will convene in Austin at the Texas Capitol for the annual Texas Rally for Life. This event annually brings in over 5,000 life supporting Texans from across the state. With, churches, schools, and community groups traveling many miles to peacefully and prayerfully share their message that life is precious and that we Love Them Both.

 Place & Time: March starts at North Side of Texas Capitol at 1 p.m. Rally/Speeches – South steps of Texas Capitol around 2-3 p.m. Date: Saturday, January 27, 2023

Jonathan Saenz, President and attorney for Texas Values released this statement: “Over 100,000 babies have been saved from abortion since the Texas Heartbeat law in 2021, and the overturning of court case Roe v. Wade in 2022. In Texas we love them both, the mother and the child, and we will never go back to the barbaric days when 50,000 babies a year in Texas were having their heartbeats stopped by abortion.” 

Jonathan Saenz, a lawyer and policy advocate, has been a Texas pro-life leader for two decades and has been part of the passage of every significant pro-life law in Texas since 2007, including leading the passage of the Texas Heartbeat law. Jonathan will available at the event and available for comment on the ground or remotely.

Jonathan Covey is a law school graduate and Policy Director for Texas Values and has led pro-life efforts in Texas since 2020. 

Mary Elizabeth Castle is a law school graduate and Government Relations Director for Texas Values and had led pro-life efforts in Texas since 2019.
