Hodges, which will rule on the right of states to define their own marriage laws. Texas Values State Outreach Coordinator Nicole Hudgens will speak at a rally directly in front of the U. S. Texas Values submitted one of the more than 60 briefs in support of states’ marriage laws between one man and one woman. Jonathan Saenz, President and attorney of Texas Values, released the following statement:

“The people of Texas, and every state, should be free to affirm the truth about marriage. The Supreme Court has no legitimate authority to redefine marriage and force same-sex marriage onto the states. If the court chooses to trample the democratic process and the votes of over 40 million Americans,  we will likely see the aggressive attacks on religious freedom and free speech only grow in intensity. We hope the Court will ultimately respect the Constitution and the people’s freedom to decide this important issue.”

Texas Values participated in the national March for Marriage on Saturday that saw thousands of people from all over the nation gather to celebrate and stand for marriage as being defined between one man and one woman. Today, leaders from across the nation, including Texas, delivered 300,000 petitions to the restrain federal court jurisdiction on marriage cases.
