Straus Loses Another Supporter, Rep. Tan Parker Pledges Support to Paxton

Statesman is reporting that Republican Texas House member, Tan Parker from Denton County, has withdrawn his support of Speaker Straus and will now support Rep. Ken Paxton, who announced yesterday that he will run for Speaker, joining Republican Warren Chisum, who announced in October that he too would run for Speaker.
Rep. Tan Parket cites as reasons for the change as “representing my district” and “being responsive to Texas voters”.
