Odessa City Council to Propose Ordinance Protecting Safety and Privacy in Restrooms!
Odessa City Council will meet today to discuss amending their current city regulations on restroom entry. The proposed ordinance is Item 13 on the Council’s agenda and would offer valuable protections to ensure that restroom facilities in public buildings are separated by “biological sex” and that males cannot enter into female restrooms and vice versa. See the city posting here.
We need your prayers and support for the friendly city council.
And if you are in the Midland/Odessa+ area, we need you to come testify in support of this critical proposed ordinance.
When: TODAY, Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 6 P.M.
Where: Odessa City Hall – 411 W. 8th St., Fifth Floor, Odessa, Texas
In order to sign up to testify, you can contact the Odessa City Secretary’s Office at (432) 335-3200.
The proposed city ordinance defines sex by biology based on a person’s birth certificate as entered “at or near the time of birth.” Texas Values has been the leading organization in protecting privacy in restrooms based on biological designation.
