Breaking: Biden Mail-Order Abortion Policy Is Dangerous And Conflicts with Texas Law
Austin, Texas-The bureaucrats at the Food and Drug Administration (F.D.A.) decided on Thursday to permanently extend a dangerous rule change for mail-order abortion drugs. During the initial phases of the pandemic, doctors could only prescribe pills to patients who picked up the drugs in person. That requirement was suspended temporarily due to Covid-19. Thursday’s decision makes that change permanent, which means that abortion pills can now be delivered to a girl in a dorm room without seeing a doctor in-person.
Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values released the following statement:
“This reckless policy by the Biden Administration’s unelected bureaucrats is dangerous. It allows women to be exploited by sex traffickers, it violates the Texas Heartbeat Law and the new state No Mail Order Abortion law. The Food and Drug Administration has made it clear that they are unwilling to protect women from the deadly effects of mail order abortion drugs, but Texas Senate Bill 4, the No Mail Order Abortion law, does their job for them.”
This past year, the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 4 which protects women from deadly side effects by creating a statewide standard for regulating chemical abortion drugs and setting criminal penalties for prescribing such pills for women who are more than seven weeks pregnant.
