Hundreds Turn out for Texas Values’ Candidate Forums

This week, Texas Values and Prestonwood Baptist Church co-hosted two Collin and Denton County candidate forums that drew large crowds and scores of candidates in Plano and Prosper. All told, over 500 people attended and more than 70 candidates, including federal, statewide, Collin and Denton counties candidates from U.S. Senate races to down-ballot races participated in the forum. The forum Monday night at Prestonwood’s main campus in Plano was the largest candidate forum in Texas this election season.

The Forums, moderated by our own Jonathan Saenz and Dan Panetti with Prestonwood Baptist Church, asked candidates to share about their faith, qualifications for office, and the most important issue the candidate will face in office. Texas Values live streamed from both forums on FB live. We encourage all Texans to educate themselves on all candidates to ensure they cast an informed vote on Election Day. And remember – this Monday, February 5 – is the last day to register to vote for the March 6 Primary Election.
