Don’t Delay Social Studies Vote Until January 2011, says Statesman Article
Jason Embry writes for the AAS on this social studies issue, showing how he disagrees with candidate Bill White’s and the ACLU’s cry to have the final social studies vote delayed until January 2011. The reason for the call for the delay is cleary political, as liberals think they’ll get more of their people elected to the SBOE in November 2010 elections.
“These proposed standards could use some extra time for revisions. But delaying the process for at least seven months because a couple of members lost their primaries seems like an extreme form of governing by poll.”
