Investigative Journalist Vindicated in Harris County After Exposing Planned Parenthood

Today, Harris County Judge Diane Bull dismissed the unjust misdemeanor charge against David Daleiden, the undercover investigative journalist who exposed Planned Parenthood’s sale of baby body parts. Daleiden went undercover as a fetal tissue buyer to investigate Planned Parenthood’s sale of baby body parts at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston.

Daleiden caught the organization on tape saying they were willing to sell fetal tissue, which is a violation of the Texas Penal Code Section Sec. 48.02b. Instead of charging Planned Parenthood for the illegal sale of aborted children’s body parts, the Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson issued an indictment on Daleiden for attempting to buy human tissue. Anderson has also been accused of colluding with Planned Parenthood during the DA’s investigation.

Jared Woodfill, an attorney for Daleiden and a volunteer attorney for Texas Values on others cases stated, “The DA’s office has chosen to wage a war on the pro-life movement…We believe there is clear evidence of Planned Parenthood actually colluding with and pushing the district attorney’s office to move forward with these indictments.”

Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney of Texas Values stated, “We are glad this absurd effort to silence information about Planned Parenthood selling body parts has been defeated. Brave investigative journalists like David are to be commended for exposing the truth about the Goliath abortion industry. We were honored to stand by David throughout this ordeal and we hope the media will now report about the content of Planned Parenthood videos that he has made public.”
