Today the fifth Planned Parenthood video from the Center for Medical Progress hit close to home. The video highlights the Director of Research at the Texas Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast clinic stating that the clinic’s doctors can “alter” the abortion process and to get “intact fetal cadavers [aborted children]” which can then be torn apart, as they’re “all just a matter of line items.” However, this is not legal according to federal law. As the Center for Medical Progress has reported, federal law prohibits altering an abortion in any way to aid the procurement of fetal tissue.
The director also boasted that her “department contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here… we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States. Larger than any the other affiliates’ combined.” She also stated that the doctors would be able to change the abortion procedure on women to harvest the baby parts that were requested.
Texas Values attended a Women Betrayed rally with Texas Right to Life just last week outside this very clinic. The Gulf Coast Planned Parenthood clinic posted on their Facebook page last week that “Planned Parenthood health centers in Texas do not participate in fetal tissue donation or research.” A lie they are failing to combat after the release of this video.
The last scene of the video shows an 18-week old aborted child, a twin, which had been torn apart from the abortion. Yet, the intestines, arm, and eyes are still intact. A clinic worker claims that they abort about 40-50 babies a month that are 16-22 weeks old and the clinic director asks her co-worker if she has “Any idea why the other affiliates in Texas think [the selling of fetal body parts] is illegal.”
Texas Values is committed to the cause of protecting all innocent life in Texas and defunding Planned Parenthood of all taxpayer dollars. We will continue to update you on these developments and encourage you to get involved!
