Yesterday should serve as a wake up call to Texans, and all Americans, that support traditional marriage. Marriage and the family remain critical for our country and state, and the benefits of children being raised by a mom and a dad are just as important as ever. How we define marriage and family in our laws affects virtually every aspect of society from a social and economic perspective, and Texans must continue to stand firm.
In the wake of yesterday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision on DOMA and Proposition 8, the team at Texas Values has been standing for truth in the media and continuing to defend the only definition of marriage: the union of one man and one woman.

Director of Operations David Walls interviewed on Texas’ position on marriage:
“The people of Texas have continued to send representatives and state senators into the state House and into the state Senate and into every statewide elected office that are for the traditional form of marriage,” Walls said. “If anything, you’ve seen it grow stronger in support of the only definition of marriage.”
