This is through our legal division, Liberty Legal Institute. Our litigation director, Hiram Sasser, will be presenting an oral argument before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals today ask the court to uphold the moment of silence state law for school students. An Atheist couple in the Dallas area has sued to strike down the law, passed in 2003. Mr. Sasser will be arguing alongside the Texas Solicitor General, who is also defending the law. This is a perfect example of the work our organization is involved in here in Texas. We help protect laws that are passed when they are challenged, in addition to the constitutional analysis work we do in Austin to make sure laws are constitutional when they are originally passed.
